Arborist ApprenticeshipAs Environmental Stewards Cohanzick Forestry Corps members learn all aspects of tree care from the very beginning of service. Our program is hosted at Cohanzick Nature Reserve,a 63-acre Green Acres open space dedicated to preserving a prestine ecosystem of woodland forest and public trail system.
Members have the option of serving 1-term only or committing to 3-terms of service to complete US DOL Apprenticeship requirements. On-the-Job curriculumTree care skills are taught by term using a hybrid-style of classroom, online and daily field work. Personal and Professional development courses are also part of the Community Forestry Corps curriculum.
